Marcus Bartolome

Columbia University: Economics and Philosophy

Hey there, I’m Marcus. I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. Right now, I am finishing up my four years in the Marine Corps Infantry with 1st Battalion 1st Marines, and I will be an incoming Columbia University sophomore this Fall. Skiing, camping, swimming, and attempting to make my younger sister talk to me are all ways I love to spend my time. As my life progresses, I aim to complete Law School and try my hand as a Corporate Attorney. Additionally, my passion for helping veterans achieve their post-military goals will remain at the forefront of my ambition. I aspire to preserve the awesome community of driven student-veterans that helped me when I was just praying I could get into any college not so long ago.

Jake Glazer

Hey all! I’m thrilled to introduce myself as one of the three founders here at NSI. I’m originally from Laguna Beach, CA, where I spent a good chunk of my childhood either at the beach or on the baseball field. At age 20, I joined the Marine Corps and spent five years either fixing or flying on Hueys and Cobras with HMLA-267… #TeamHuey. Since then, I studied economics at Saddleback College before applying for transfer to four-year universities, though I’m not yet committed to any one school. Nowadays, you can find me either in the library, on my mountain bike, or somewhere abroad. Our team is so excited that you’re deciding to take your education seriously. Student veterans are wanted by elite colleges, and we’re here to prove it to you. Hit me up with any questions!

Brandon Lambert

Columbia University: Financial Economics

Hello all! Firstly, I want to thank you for being a part of our NSI community! I’m Brandon, originally from Houston, TX. I served four years in the United States Marines Corps, a part of 1st Battalion 1st Marines, where I held the privilege of being a member of my unit’s sniper team. Concurrent to my service, I pursued higher education throughout my military career and studied at three different community colleges before ultimately gaining admittance to Columbia University. My desire to aid veterans in their pursuit of higher education has been forged through my own hardships while seeking academics. Transitioning from active-duty military to civilian can be a daunting and stressful experience; our NSI team is here to help.
